Question:
what are the best exercises to get kids aged 9-12 fit and fast?
Ideally i would like these exercises to be conducted without equipment as it is for a team sport.

Hi there. I would have thought if you are exercising them for a sport, that props/equipment would improve their skill levels. As an example, get them to jog and pass the ball to from side to side to each other. But basically anything that helps with balance, bone growth, gets their heart and lungs working well - as this will reduce chances of respiratory conditions like asthma, and of course childhood obesity.
Activities such as, running, jumping, interactive skills like relay races, motor skills - egg and spoon race springs to mind. Also sport specific drills will help them to get better. Make each phase quite short in length as children have a relatively short attention span and of course make it fun, and exciting and varied so they continue their quest and i am sure you will be helping sort this nation of misfits into true athletes again.
